The Gold Standard in Smile Transformation
Porcelain veneers are widely regarded as one of the most powerful cosmetic dental treatments available โ and for good reason. These custom-crafted, wafer-thin shells of dental porcelain are bonded to the front surfaces of your teeth, instantly correcting a wide range of cosmetic concerns and creating a beautifully uniform, natural-looking smile. At Long Lake Family Dentistry, we design every set of veneers to complement your unique facial features, skin tone, and smile aesthetics, ensuring results that look genuinely natural rather than artificial.
One of the most remarkable qualities of porcelain as a veneer material is how closely it mimics the optical properties of natural tooth enamel. It reflects light in a similar way, creating that luminous quality that characterizes a truly beautiful smile. Porcelain is also highly stain-resistant, meaning your veneers will maintain their brightness for years with proper care โ unlike natural enamel, which continues to absorb staining compounds over time.
Veneers are a versatile solution that can address multiple cosmetic concerns simultaneously, making them particularly valuable for patients who have several issues they'd like to correct at once. Rather than pursuing multiple separate treatments, a single set of veneers can reshape, brighten, and unify your smile in just two or three appointments.

The Veneer Process โ Step by Step
Smile Design Consultation
We discuss your smile goals, show you examples of veneer results, and assess whether veneers are the right solution for your specific concerns. Digital imaging may be used to preview potential outcomes.
Tooth Preparation
A very small amount of enamel (typically 0.3โ0.7mm) is gently removed from the front surface of each tooth to make room for the veneer. Local anesthesia ensures this is completely comfortable. Impressions are then taken and sent to our dental lab.
Temporary Veneers
While your custom veneers are being fabricated (typically 2 weeks), we place temporary veneers so you can preview your new smile and leave our office looking great.
Bonding Your Permanent Veneers
When your porcelain veneers arrive from the lab, we carefully bond each one to your teeth using a strong dental adhesive. We verify the shade, shape, and fit before permanently cementing them in place.
Final Check & Bite Adjustment
We check your bite and make any fine adjustments to ensure perfect comfort. A follow-up appointment is scheduled to review your results and ensure your complete satisfaction.
