Restore Your Smile and Your Confidence
Losing teeth โ whether one, several, or all of them โ affects far more than your appearance. It impacts how you eat, how you speak, your facial structure, and your self-confidence. At Long Lake Family Dentistry, we understand how personal and emotional tooth loss can be, and we approach denture care with the compassion and expertise that this important treatment deserves. Our custom-crafted dentures are designed to look natural, fit comfortably, and restore full function to your smile.
Modern dentures bear little resemblance to the ill-fitting, obviously artificial appliances of the past. Today's dentures are fabricated from high-quality materials that closely mimic the natural translucency, colour variation, and texture of real teeth and gum tissue. We take detailed impressions and carefully assess your bite, facial proportions, and aesthetic preferences to create an appliance that fits well, functions effectively, and โ most importantly โ looks like your own natural teeth.
Types of Dentures We Provide
Complete (Full) Dentures
For patients who have lost all of their teeth in the upper or lower arch (or both). Rests on the gum tissue and is held in place by suction and the muscles of the mouth. Can be enhanced with dental implants for a more secure fit.
Partial Dentures
For patients missing several teeth but retaining some natural teeth. A partial denture fills the gaps, prevents remaining teeth from shifting, and restores chewing function. Attaches to natural teeth with clasps or precision attachments.
Immediate Dentures
Placed immediately after extractions so you're never without teeth. Serve as a temporary solution while your gums heal and your permanent dentures are fabricated. Require more frequent adjustments as your gum shape changes during healing.
Implant-Supported Dentures
Dentures anchored to dental implants for dramatically improved stability and retention. Eliminates slipping and discomfort, allows you to eat a wider range of foods, and helps preserve jaw bone. The most comfortable and functional denture option available.

The Denture Process โ What to Expect
Consultation & Treatment Planning
We evaluate your oral health, discuss your goals, and recommend the most appropriate denture type. X-rays may be taken to assess the health of any remaining teeth and your jaw bone.
Impressions & Measurements
Precise impressions of your mouth are taken, along with measurements of your bite and jaw relationship. These are sent to our dental lab to begin fabrication.
Try-In Appointment
A wax model or trial denture is created for you to try. This allows us to evaluate the fit, appearance, and bite before the final denture is completed โ ensuring you are happy with the look and feel before we finalize anything.
Delivery & Fitting
Your finished denture is delivered and carefully fitted. We make any necessary adjustments to ensure optimal comfort and function. You'll receive detailed care instructions to keep your denture in excellent condition.
Follow-Up & Ongoing Care
Follow-up appointments are important to monitor fit as your gum tissue naturally changes over time. Dentures typically require relining every few years to maintain a proper fit.
