Common Dental Emergencies We Treat
Severe Toothache
Intense, persistent tooth pain can indicate decay that has reached the nerve, an abscess, or a cracked tooth. We diagnose the cause and provide immediate pain relief.
Knocked-Out Tooth
Time is critical — a tooth reimplanted within 30–60 minutes has the best chance of survival. Keep the tooth moist and call us immediately.
Cracked or Fractured Tooth
A cracked tooth can cause sharp pain and sensitivity. Depending on the severity, treatment may involve a filling, crown, or other restorative care.
Dental Abscess
An abscess is a serious infection that can spread rapidly. Symptoms include swelling, fever, and throbbing pain. This requires urgent care — do not wait.
Lost Filling or Crown
A lost restoration leaves your tooth vulnerable to sensitivity and further damage. We can replace or recement your filling or crown quickly to protect the tooth.
Gum or Soft Tissue Injury

For a Knocked-Out Tooth
Handle the tooth by the crown (not the root). If dirty, rinse gently with milk or saline — not tap water. Keep it moist by placing it in milk, saline, or between your cheek and gum. Get to us within 30 minutes for the best chance of reimplantation.
For Severe Pain or Swelling
Take over-the-counter pain relief such as ibuprofen as directed on the package. Apply a cold compress (10 minutes on, 10 minutes off) to reduce swelling. Do not apply heat to a dental swelling.
For Bleeding
Apply gentle, firm pressure with clean gauze or a cloth. If bleeding does not slow after 20 minutes of continuous pressure, proceed to the nearest emergency room.
